Launch the Watch, Tap My Watch, then tap Workout

Remove a metric

Tap Workout View, then tap Indoor or Outdoor Run, then tap Edit

Add Average cadence or Current Cadence

You will now see your chosen metrics on the watch screen whenever you are tracking an outdoor run.

Auto Sets show up in the workout summary in the Activity app on your iPhone.
